Shut Eye Press is my personal, privately-owned press, where I make artists' books, prints, and other literary objects. Shut Eye was born and still operates out of greater Phoenix, AZ, though projects and pieces have been written, formed, or printed elsewhere.
Out of my home studio, I typically work on a Sigwalt 23 platen press, but I also use Vandercooks (or other cylinder presses) and a variety of other printing methods in my book and print work. Still a writer, I enjoy printing my own prose and poetry. I’m especially drawn to book forms for their linear, narrative formats, their possibilities for concealing and revealing information, and the ways they must be touched, held, and manipulated in order to be understood.
